i brought up the open header idea with the other guy at the meet since he didn't have a gasket, but he didn't do it. i cut off my muffler and put on the straight pipe and i think it sounds great, i would really like to hear it with open headers.

thats what i am running, cut off muffler and it sounds good. i need to add the straight pipe back tho, some of the exhuast fumes are noticable when the car sits still... ewww

Most likely its cause he has a auto.

yeah probably cuz i have an auto, and yes, bryan talked me into doing it. i love it and i will keep it for now until i get some cash together to get my 3" piping, custom cat and glasspack installed

cool, i will be keeping mine like that for a very long time right now, i almost have no other reason to get rid of the stock exhaust for reasons other than noise right now. besides i will be seeing my traffic ticket in the mail soon from the other night, i have to put a little aside for that one.

i'm going to have my car dyno tested in a couple weeks, i just want to know what is has before i start upgrading all the parts, since i have two runs i will run once with the stock muffler and the second time with my straight pipe just to see what difference it makes. the car used to struggle to 120 in 5th gear with the stock muffler now i have no problems doing it so it must have done something.
