Hey all,
I finally figured out how to transfer video from my cam to my pc. I'm currently uploading them to my KC Tuners account. You can download them at:

This is my first attempt at uploading and editing video so be gentle!

Yeah, I know, it's just a cheap video camera. Skyline eh? I get first dibs on racing it!

Whoevers car that you are in when filming JaredvsWRX, the blow off valve sounds EXACTLY like this one kids at my school, (he has a Eclipse w/ mainly engine stuff, then rims, body kit, other misc. stuff)

ok, you have first dibs on racing it. i have to wait and find out how hard this is going to be getting it over here from jake at dieman motorsports. he says after i pay for it, it should only take a month and half to have it street ready. i know that you have seen his rich, it will look the same on the outside, different engine, unless i come up with a couple grand more by then.

That's cool. Yeah, I've seen Jake's Skyline a few times. Beautiful car. You may want to have a look at this thread concerning bringing a Skyline over:
http://www.kcsr.org/viewtopic.php?t=51146&...ghlight=skyline I think it's going to be a little more difficult than just paying some cash out.

i'll look at that thread when i have more time, jake said i would have to pay for the car and shipping. aside from that i will have to separate the engine and tranny and take them out of the car and sent them in a separate unit from the car, a little bit of grey market paper work and some time and i should have the car street ready (legal) in about 1 1/2 to 2 months from the day i purchased it.

actually is there anyway you can copy and paste that thread you were talking about and pm it to me, or post it somewhere. i don't want to start a whole other user id on another website to look at one thread.

I won't post the whole thing, but here are some memorables:
QUOTE (SlowTA)
ill tell you right now, no skyline in this country is legal. no company in this country can legally import one. motorex is in a huge lawsuit because they were illegally importing them. this could be wrong but i read parts of the lawsuit from links i found on supraforums i believe. might wanna really check into that first.
QUOTE (Nissan Spec-v)
jakes is leagal, it took him 3 years to get it, but its legal.
Straight from Jake:
QUOTE (Dieman)
First, a bank will never give you a loan an a "grey market" car. Especially one that has been Red Flagged by the NHTSB.
Motorex went out of business for a number of reasons. One of which was defrauding the government.
Insurance won't be bad on that car. The insurance companies have no idea what it is and as a result premiums are decently low.
Even IF you get your car, and I've heard horror stories about some of the places in Texas and Florida, it will not be legal. If it's not already in the states it's not legal, period, end of story, done. The last "legal" one came was released by the NHTSB in November of 2004. You can find loopholes such as "grey market" laws and stuff like that statewide, but like I said, I would highly doubt a bank will loan you money on a car you can't legally sell. There are 63 legal cars in the states, and 2 of those are under question now as well. Both are R32's. Your best bet is to buy one that is already here and it will not go for 28,000 or even 35,000 I promise you that. Stock legal ones now are going for around 75-90,000 for a legal R33. You should buy a new z06 for that.
You are lucky in one sense. The only cars that MIGHT be considered for legalization "waivers" are in fact 95's. They are the only model year that has submitted crash test data and actually pass all of the US's laws for automobiles that year.
Good luck with your purchase, but you better watch your ass even if you do get your loan. Lots and Lots of people out there claiming they can get a legal GTR in country but can never deliever. I can get you an illegal one but I'll tell you right now you won't be able to ever sell it or insure it. I went through ALL the paperwork on mine. It took me over three years to get it actually 100% Fully Legal and mine is a MotoRex car.

he did say i would have to use a loop hole to get mine in the country. it will be legal in a sense that it has a title and i can insure it. i would never sell the car if i got it and it isn't a gtr which should make it a lot easier to get over here. besides i can't afford an r33 gtr, the gt model has a different engine and it is rwd. the gtr goes for around 20000 to 30000 and the gts goes for around 5000 to 7000. that is why i said if i had a couple thousand later down the road i would swap engines for an rb26 like the one jake has, it might still be rwd only but it's a pretty huge swap, it also wouldn't have near the power that jakes has right now.
you should try and get up there and check it out now, the last time i went to his shop he had a sign up that said appointment only though. he said his last dyno with skyline put him around 1143 whp, i can't remember exactly though.

Yeah, I tried calling his shop the other day and his phone was disconnected. Not sure what's up with that. He did some dyno tuning on my car earlier last year.

i noticed that to, the paper says to go this one website and try to get an appointment. i need to go on there and get one, i use jake for ordering parts, he has always been real cool about it. i wonder what's going on at this shop though.
