Just wondering if anyone had a suggestion on rods for my 05 Nissan Spec-V? Which ones are good. Mine r said to only hold to 240hp, and i will be over that soon.

i have heard great things about crower and eagle. eagle rods for the ZX2 suck, so im going to use crower, but you might check out some nissan forums and see if you can find some good detailed info. i am not sure how many on here have modded a nissan that far

If crower makes rods for it I'd go with them. Great reputation

I did some researching and found that crower doesnt make them for my engine or nissan all together. Eagle
makes them for all the engines nissan makes except mine. So i decided to look into nismo but came up empty. Ill keep looking>

well eagle has 2 types typically a H beam and an I beam. The I beams are very strong. So that could be a good option

get some titanium/aluminum pistons and you will be all set to run 10K RPMs lol.
I am confused why it is so hard to find people that make rods for the Spectra. I figured Nissan had quite a large aftermarket base. What motor did nissan use in your car?

LOL its ok everyone gets it wrong, Anyway nissan put the QR25DE. Its the 2.5L, Chain driven DOHC with balance shafts (R coming out here soon) With Variable intake timing an alloy block and head. Arond 2500cc. With 175hp @ 6G and 180tq at 4G, but only getting about 147whp. theres more but thats the surface. its a decent motor and cant complain about it. And as far as aftermarket stuff Nissan doesnt have much for the 1.8s or the 2.5s just the V6s in the Z's. Dont know why cuz the added amount u pay for the Z u can put in the V and smash the Z.
