I would advise getting a Murcielago. They aren't really that upgradeable, but you don't need to.

Hey Matt, offtopic, but see if your dad would take like $50 cash to trade me transmissions and do the labor? I can go a bit higher if he'd want ...

What's your price range?
arden
Nov 16 2006, 11:25 AM
he does not want payments, i think he wants to pick up either a CRX or civic hatch for under 1000, put some work into it to get it reliable then begin overhauling it

buy a ford fiesta....then put a 350 in it...it'll hall balls, and should be cheap to buy a fiesta.
or
buy a early 90's legend and try to mod it....do something different....there's what seems like a thousand fast, or wanna be fast early 90's civics around....do something that's rarely done so you'll stand out.

I like kyles idea about the RX7 I would love to have one of them!!!
My price range would be about 1000 like kyle said and that could be a wrecked or damaged engine or something wrong with it. I found my last civic in the parts section in the paper. When i get some money together I'm gonna start looking. I also like Brads Idea about the doing something different but know matter what I do there will all ways be someone with the same car!
Any ideas about cars that might be good good for rareness????
O and my phone broke I have NO ones number I need insta's, brad's and anyone else that could or would ever help me out with an install or modding!!!

you want rare?! get a car like mine. most parts have to be overnighted or fabricated. and thats from the dealer only, practically nothing after market, but you know what if i got it up and show ready i would take home numerous throphies.

Are you looking for a car needing assembly? I have a 92 Eagle Talon. The automatic transmission is in one corner of the garage, a JDM (30k mile) 2.0 4g63 engine is sitting on a crate in front of the car, and the old 4g63 is hanging on an engine hoist behind the car. It's blue - not perfect body.
I've been too lazy and too busy to put it together. You can have the whole big pile of stuff for a grand.

Got the turbo manifolds for it?
Matt, you'd be one of the fastest cars on the site for a few grand with a 4G63.

so would i... if i had the money, lol. but yeah do what you want and just get something practical but something you can still have alot of fun with. best way to go. if maintained a talon is really good, especially down a track or a *cough* street *cough*.

Nope. The car was a kid car for a while. I didn't want my insurance company charging the extra for a teenager in a turbo car.
And, if anything in my house gets a turbo, it will be a Miata, not a DSM.

Not to sound like I think my cars the coolest thing out there but the Mazda MX3 isn't a bad car, you can swap like 3 different engines into it easily and miata internals fit the 95 1.6L DOHC I've had mine for about 5 months and despite all the things wrong with it due to the previous owner it's really a fun car, very light and nimble and it's got pretty good gas mileage.
if you want something rare just look outside the box and just look for something that looks good to you even of the engine is pos, then turn around and do an engine swap.

yeah, when i saw my mx3 i had no idea what kind of car it was or anything, even tho my car has the sohc 1.6l it still has some get up and go since it is so damn light. engine has minor issues but runs great. get something you are gunna like

My insurance dropped $46.00 a month when I got my first TSi as opposed to my Eclipse 1.8. And I was 18 at the time.
