does any one know what all the escort lx wagon has in common with the zx2?

how hard would it be to swap the 2.0 or 2.2 engine into the LX?

has anyone on there trips out to pick and pull seen an lx wagon there? '95 or so.

what size 2.0 can you get in the zx2? and sam question for the 2.2

frame is same, suspension is simular, everything is very simular... you'll have to swap most of everything to get a 2.0 in there but it wont be a nightmare... hardest part will be the rusted bolts on the wagon.

what if its has to be a tranny swap as well?

does it matter much if its 122, 1989cc, or 121?

People have swapped zetec 2.0 into 90-96 style escorts. I know the 97-02 can take the zetec as well...

how about swapina neon 2.0L with a mtx into a escort wagon? i want to keep it interesting, switch it up a bit. do a little frankinstein.

well i know of more mods for the neon , then i do for the zx2. but i want to get the wagon.

Well my only suggestion is start searching for someone to make you custom motor mounts, custom axles, custom supports, custom wiring harness, and learn how to use megasquirt because why stick a stock neon pcm in it.

Again, I think it would be a huge waste of money and time...but its your project

well what of major stuff can be done to the zx2 motor?

turbo, rods, piston, balanced crank, stronger mains, cgi block with squirters, mill/pnp/etc head, stiffer springs and titanium retainers, plethera of cams, a few different aftermarket manifolds, a few options as far as TBs, lots of intakes, lots of exhaust options, udps, odps, cam gears, dis-2

And a kitchen sink

anything can be done to a zetec that can be done to a neon motor.
