I'm looking at price mainly and handling , dry/wet pavement... dont care for snow or truthfully even wet pavement I dont care about much, but every tire so far has hydroplaned in my car...

I would imagine not having tires would seriously undermine your ability to accelerate/decelerate/change direction/etc. But it is a zx2, so you can't really expect it to do much of any of those at any speed. :P

You should check out the BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDW2. They come in your size. Before the set i have now i had those and never had a problem with them. Excellent dry handling. And as far as hydro goes my car is really bad too, but with these tires it wasnt really a problem unless i was over 80. But the set back is that they arn't to be used in icy weather. And they are Y rated, but i dont think u will be going that fast!

ya i want U or better. I also those t/a's sound expensive. I'm not wanting expensive. I'm wanting a decent cheap tire that will get me around well in dry weather and somewhat in rain. I dont really drive the car in the snow because of how low the car is.
And Dash, its better then a bicycle ;)

eh thats awefully low for a set of tires. you should probably go for a set of all seasons, i cant imagine they would hydroplane. but with low pros on your 18's you are bound to hydroplane with almost any tire because of not having deep enough grooves. I am also surprised you posted this topic, you usually seem to have all the answers ;)

Kumho Ecsta SPT @ $97 per tire.
Tire Rack.com test results.
I've found you get a whole lot of tire for a little bit of money with Kumhos. Their performance tires are very good to excellent in most tests.
I run Kumho Ecsta MXs on the Miata.

I do have all the answers, but I wanted to see what others run for tires, and like. I've had many sets of performance tires but nothing has ever lasted long enough that makes me want to go buy them again.
I'm thinking kumho's too.
