how many people on here are musically inclined? i don't mean that you listen to music and love it, i'm talking about music playing ability.

i started off playing the 3/4 cello and moved into the stand up bass, i quit playing for a couple years because my parents couldn't afford my music taste. i have tried drums, need more coordination, right now i have been playing the electric bass. i have a carvin bb75 five string bass and i have been playing for around three years. i still can't read standard notation music.

don't be ashamed to say you play a girly instrument like a clarinet.

well lets see i have played the violin, the piano, a little guitar(not very well) and thats about it.

Guitar and can half ass some drums.

Right now I got a fender strat for practice to take the grunt damage and use, then I got a gibson sg for playin actual music.

5th grade I started playing Viola. Quit in 9th grade.

Started playing guitar in 7th grade. Was in a garage band in my teens thru high school. Still have some tapes we made. Covered Foghat, ZZ Top, Kiss, Zepplin, Black Oak Arkansas (ever heard of them? "Go Jim Dandy"), and we wrote a few of our own songs. It's a blast to listen to the old tapes every now and then. I have the most hilarious version of "Smoke on the Water" you've ever heard. (Hell no, I won't post it on the web!) Quit the band after High School to concentrate more on college and serious girlfriend (now wife).

Still play guitar every now and then, sometimes in church for folk songs.

Bought a drum set 6 years ago and farted around with that, but then sold them about a year ago. I'm too much of a pack rat anyway and they take up a lot of space.

I have a Univox copy of a Les Paul sunburst, Peavy Studio Pro 40 amp, an Alvarez 12 string acoustic, and a 6 string acoustic. I had a Gibson Flying V at one point, but sold it.

And I have a ringing in my ears and slight hearing loss from ROCKING in the late 70s.

And the Viola music was written in a weird clef (C clef) that's left me functionally illiterate.

there has to be more musicians on here than just the ones that have replied.
Sully
