I need to replace the exhaust piping on my Honda ...

Nothing fancy, I'll probably go with 2" for a little more grunt. I want to get smooth bends, but not necessarily mandrel. Anybody have experience with this?

A bending machine. mabie a local shop has one.

Obviously a bending machine. I'm trying to get it for cheaper than that.

It's a throwaway Honda, I don't want to spend 20% of the car's cost on a new exhaust for it if I can do it myself for $20 in tubing and $40 bending rental.

Rent a crush bender and fill the inside of the pipe with sand and cap off the ends tightly. Then bend it very slowly. It will make a bend similar to a mandrel with a little bit of crush. The sand forces it to keep its diameter/area throughout the bend.

Besides that make a few bends, get some straights and cut and piece it together with a welder. Thas all I know mang

I agree with CJW on that one...

--if you you're gonna spend $60.00 why not pay the extra $15.00 and get it professionally done?it cost me $75.00 for my whole cat back and it is 2.5' piping.

Because that's the correct, and easy way, with no chance of failure? Gee, Mardini, when was the last time you ever remember me doing something properly?
