K so I decided I wanted to get back into SQ and the jensen 7" dvd/tv/mp3 player isnt going to cut it.

I went back to my trusted brand of pioneer. After fiddling with the 06 line(keeping an open mind) I decided Pioneer has gone the way of gayness. So I decided a 05 premier unit would be perfect(what I wanted originally, but discontinued) model number deh-p670mp. I found one on ebay, listed as new, buy it now at 200 shipped(average price for new). Ok I read his feedback, perfect. I call him to make sure its still there, it is. I order it and it gets here last night.

WELLLL, it was used. Not even well hidden that it was used. Scratches on the face, serial number and other stickers on the bottom were scratch and gouged pretty badly, Headunit housing(thing it slides into and secures into place) was all bent previously to hold in location, Wires as they come from pioneer come with about an inch of shielding which has been prestripped but not removed well these were all cut clean off, Power and accesory wires were twisted together, battery was already in remote and remote was not in a protective bag, whole headunit was not in factory plastic bag, faceplate carry case was in shredded bag...

some of the stuff while picky little things were really starting to upset me. I call up the guy and explain the situation and how I am quite adgitated. I also explained to him I have owned many pioneer headunits in the past and know how they come from factory. He tells me it was drop shipped from his supply warehouse and he has no idea how it happened. He offered me the 06 line(eww) or my money back plus the money to ship him back the piece of crap that I just got.

The only thing I can think of was this was a return and the guy who returned it played him and told him it was unopened(cuz it did look that way). Or it was a refurb and they didnt know.

The guy is being very helpful and nice so far. My only thing was if I wanted a refurb...I wouldve bought one for 140. If I wanted a used one I would have bought one for 140....see the trend. Also, the if the 06 line wasnt such crap I wouldve just bought it from a retail store to begin with

Anyway, end rant.

Oh and I will have a deh-p670mp...I wont settle for that 06 junk. I have another one sourced now just waiting to get the money back from this guy.
