Ok. Now i know that this is a question that every car person should know but for some reason i dont. what is a rotary engine? and i have a few other questions. can a person have a supercharger and a turbo or would that just lower the HP? thanks everyone.

A rotary engine is just what it sounds. It's an engine that instead of pistons, has rotors and instead of the up and down motion that a standard engine has, the rotary goes in circles internally. Mazda is famous for using them specifically in their RX series cars.

And as far as a supercharger and turbo on the same motor, it's dumb. Can it be done, certainly yes. It's dumb because you'll never get the full advantage from either. Efficiency goes down along with power. It's much more efficient to use one or the other...
