street_tuner87
yeah but i wont see it for awhile, i came in at a odd point in the pay period.my first pay check may only be up to 2XX, idk, and most of it goes to payback some expenses. and then my next check should be a whole heck of a lot more.

Why the FUCK are you considering a goddamned COBRA?!

Seriously dude, pull your head out of your ass, get a 1979 Honda Civic or something equally shitty. You need all the money you can get to pull off what you're wanting to pull off. You have a lot to pay for soon, and car payments nor through-the-roof insurance aren't going to help it.

Mike you made a good move finding the job you did, don't mess it all up

um... yeah i know.

After hearing the story in its entirety, I have to agree with the insta.

But I've been there as well, working 60-70 hours a week in time off so I can afford school and such. I understand that it can be hard. But you certainly don't have to compound it like you seem to be doing by buying things you don't need just because other people buy similar things. Just because there are people with similar interests to yours does not mean they are in the same situation as you.

I myself am looking for a car, but with an emphasis on cheap and efficient. I know I am probably breaking some rules of this forum by not buying a car that I can upgrade with everybody here, but I can't afford that at this time. So I choose to save what money I can, spend only what I have to, etc.

Just be smart about your money, don't buy things just because other people buy things. I usually stick to the rule of not buying things if I don't have money for them. I strongly dislike borrowing money and/or going into debt. But if you really want to spend that money on those things, you'll just have to work 2-3 jobs or something, which will cut into your social life and female time as well. You can't have it both ways I guess.
