So, I picked up my fiance at around midnight. We decided to go out for a drive. Into town we go. I get into town and the first car I see is a red 91 MR2 turbo. I make a right onto the main circuit. I follow the MR2 when behind me I hear something V8 go WOT. An early 90's Corvette flies past me. He flies right up to the MR2. The guy in the Corvette starts talking a bunch of crap about the MR2. I could hear him. He was making jokes about the little 4cyl that didn't have enough power to get out of it's own way. The Corvette sounded NASTY. From what I could see and hear it had a full exhaust and a nice rumpedy rump cam. It was lobing hard. The two of them speed up and let off just kinda testing eachother. I honestly thought that that MR2 was way outta his league. OH NO... They catch a redlight and a straightaway. The Corvette goes WOT and so does the MR2. The MR2 left his ass in the dust by about 4 car lengths . It was nuts. The Vette was so ashamed that he very quickly turned into an alley and I didn't see him again. :oops:

There ya go a early toyota repping his heritage...and a guy that had 40,000 and thought he was tough that got shut the hell up. 8)

What is it with people when they get a V8 they think that everything under it is weaker... :roll:

Now i do admit im an american muscle guy but it never gets old to see a vette left in the dust . Thats to funny.

Some old heads don't realize that a 400 horse mr2 will hang with any of their beasts. They all think because it has less displacement that it cant hang which is a very very very stupid assumption.

Dan can back me on this one...We will be talking to my stepdad about track times and all...and bring up that dans runs a mid 13 with very little mods...and he goes "oh thats impossible. Back when we would run it would take all we had to run 13s. There is no way your 4 cyl could do that" Or my favorite "My v6(toyota pickup) could pull your zx2"...yea

Its all about the number of cylinders to some people :roll: forget the weight factor, when they make the power, if they can hook it up, how fast they can get to speeds...so on a so forth.

That's exactly true. I have a very good friend of mine that has an 88 Mustang GT. He used to get on my case about how his car has 4 cyl more than me and that his is much faster than my Talon. One night, we were on the highway comming home from bowling. He had his ex girlfriend in the car and I had my girlfriend (now fiance). He pulls along side me and starts to pace me. I was cruising at about 60. He stomped it and I did. I never downshifted and stayed in 5th. I backed off at 135 and he was buslengths behind me with his foot in it all the way. He doesn't talk crap anymore.
