oh ya those axles are supposely rated for 500 hp (although I though you rate axles in tq?, oh well they look beefy) ... no more bracket for the rear of the motor w00t w00t.

so when are you going to make me a setup like that?? b/c I don't wanna break anymore transmissions....by the way, how much did it cost you or rather how much would it cost me to get the lsd going in my car??? I know before you talked about being able to build a beefed up trans for us....just wondering if that's still possible with the lsd as well...

lookin good by the way
inis
yes still possible.
"your" looking at around 650 + tranny + plus my fee, then from there you can do shift forks, larger syncro's, total rebuild etc etc.

Truthfully I haven't experience a entire rebuild, I'd like to learn how and have everything to make it work, but there is ALOT of tolerances in our tranny (like most trannys)
I'd hate to use someone elses money on a experiment and it go wrong ( = boom) , although if that did happen, least you know the lsd and axles would survive.
zx2uner
you install the axle's without the limited slip?

well all that I really care about is the lsd in my tranny...so how much for you to "make" me a lsd, plus your fee, and i have the tranny already.

also, how long approximately will it take once I give you the money til it's done.

lsd + axles + my fee + plus all installed in casing = 700

This all depends on truthfully if I can find a lsd used, and strengthen it. If I can't find a lsd, new there around 450+

it shouldn't take to long once I have the money, about a month for axles, just shipping time for the lsd, and however long it takes me to put in the casing and modify all the stuff, probally around a 3-6 weeks total.

If you dont want a speedometer I can take 2 weeks off lol

I dont understand what your asking..
if your asking , can you install just the axles, with no LSD?

then the answer is no, there custom axles.
arden
wow, I will be looking for another tranny and just buy a new LSD and have you strengthen it

so today I was on the way to a doc appt and mysteriously my car started making noise, after checking fluids, playing with the clutch and so forth it seems my clutch or clutch line is having problems (i'm going to guess clutch line right now) and the clutch isn't getting pressed down all the way.

So looks like its either:
1. clutch line not moving clutch enough
2. clutch has gone to #@$@^%$
3. crank walk and flywheel is hitting the crank

But after about a hour of driving it, it went away for a bit and came back later in the day.
It did stay in gear once with the peddle to the floor and died on the highway off ramp and couldn't get it restarted.. took me like five mins to get her out of gear, started and back in gear to move (i was in the worse possible traffic too)

So:
1st test is the clutch line
2nd test is taking her apart and putting her back with a lsd and turbo biggrin.gif and maybe megasquirt if I can find the time...

If can find a cheap spare car, I'll do it all at once ..but I must have a vehicle right now so we'll see.
dash
I saw "LSD" and immediately thought: "I know how to make that!"

Good luck Jarred. Keep me updated. Deffinetly need to see the LSD in action
arden
me too. his success depends on if i have him build me a tranny ;)

So I figured it out that its the clutch dragging, I need to bleed the line again and get under the dash and do a adjustment. If weather keeps permitting I'll be opening the garage to everyone on sundays.. while I work on the house ...whomever can fuck around in the garage...

My tranny/turbo swap will happen soon, I've got some rods/pistons coming (tell ya later, there top secret), I'm sourcing a better turbo, and still working on MS ... once that comes together here comes 300 whp (I promise)

well thats good news. i will have most all my parts ready by the end of march. i want to upgrade my exhaust while im at it and a couple other things that will be pushing me back. i should be able to order my first round of parts next week when i get paid. my whole income tax is going to pay bills as well as small portions of my checks. i figure i will just lay down a whole check in a few weeks to order up the remaining parts. i figure i still need about 700 worth of parts to get it running, 200 for tuning and around 400 for exhaust
