I fixed the fuel pump / radiator fan problem! Under the dash there are two plugs that connect parts of the PCM to the rest of the goodies under the hood. One of these plugs goes to the CCRM and controls the radiator fan and fuel pump. They're on the same circuit, a wire that turns them on when it goes ground. Thanks to some input from inis, I tried unplugging the plug closest to the accelerator. Boom! No more fuel pump. Plugged it in ... fuel pump. Yay!
I dissected the plug and pulled out the plastic insulating spacer inside. The whole thing was burned in the middle, charred carbon. More than enough to conduct current to let the relay turn on. Soooo I just plugged the plug back in without the insert (after cleaning off the corrosion everywhere). I'm hoping I didn't need that clip, because if I didn't ... it's fixed! Yay. This might also fix some of the other problems the car has been having, like the torque-converter lockup problems and what-not.
