ok so today at work i was bored and was looking at my car and thinkin what i could do next and i started staring at my third brake light and remembered i had a small three inch red neon. And well 2 + 2 = me workin on modifing my TBL housing to hold the neon and then wiring it up to the stock harness(with fuse of course). just a random thing i am working on now. i am also cutting out holes in the rear deck cover where the stock speakers are cept i am having 6x9's put in instead and those are goin to be attatched to the metal and the covers for the 6x9's are going on the deck cover so there is goin to be space between the speakers and the covers, explanaition... i am putting blue neons on each side of the speakers so that through the covers you will see a blue glow. i am goin with a purple exterior and blue interior theme fyi. well thats just a random thing i am doin.

well unfortunatly thats the stock color of the car and i dont want to go through the hassle of having everything taken out so the whole thing can be repainted. so lemons to too much lemon lemonade. at least for now. we shall see what happens.

My 98 zx2 is being custom painted in spring. Currently I am stripping the engine bay of it's parts and this weekend I will be roughing and priming the bay.

It is a lot more work than anyone would assume and I don't recommend it for the casual worker. However, being I am building it from the body up I figured it would be assinine not to.

It will be gloss black. Body's color choices so far is a two tone. 2002 mini cooper electric blue top, 2000 escort zx2 silver frost cut line, and 2003 zx2 dark shadow gray bottom. OEM colors for ease of scratch repair

End of the month I am ordering 5 and a half gallons of liquid sound deadening material and 30 feet of ensolate style deadener. So the interior is not a problem as you won't see metal anywhere. BUT the original color is blue.

5 gallons of sound deadning on one car?

Daily driver, meant for comfort and sound quality. But no I will probably only use 3 gallons. The rest they are throwing in because 3 gallons at normal cost is 5 gallons at the cost I am getting plus the 30 ft of ensolate

well when workin with the neon i discovered that the wire had come undone and upon further inspection discovered it was, well worthless. so for now i am waiting to get another, newer, 3" red neon. i cant wait till this project is done. i think it will look cool with a bar tbl instead of that bulb. i am also interested in the spyder lites but that is something i will get later.
