Just a teaser pic for now. Will get more when I get home.
Rewired the 0 gauge tsunami wire I had in it to 4 gauge kicker wire back to kicker distros out to a pair of USA-50 amps. 1 for a set of 5.25" rainbow SLX components and the other for a single eD eu700 6" subwoofer which will be mounted in the rear deck in a fiberglass sealed enclosure. 5.25s will be getting around 35-50rms a piece. Sub will get around 180.
This wire install was easily my favorite I have ever done in any car. Let me break it down for you.
Kicker wire is easily the most flexible wire I have ever worked with. Highly recommended.
Much easier to hide than zero gauge.
Wires are ran through the rear quarter panels until the end where it runs 2 inches out and then into the seat.
Wires from there are ran where the foam meets the plastic IN the seat. They emerge where you see them.
With the seats folded down you can see 2" of the positive wire if you are looking for it. That's it. :cjw:
I love it.
Now I just need to reroute my rcas and run my new speaker wires.
Oh and nearing the end of my install my ankle(the one I previously tore a ligament in) gave out on me and threw me on the ground. Mind you it was 12:30 in the morning and I needed to finish. Evenually my ankle and foot went numb and I finished the project. I went up stairs and took 1000mg of ibuprofen and laid down with my ankle elevated for like an hour before going to bed. Woke up and went to church. It hurt a lot worse than the tear did instantly. But it doesn't hurt as bad as the tear did after the fact. So all in all it's not bad. I have it wrapped now...
