I know that the cooler weather makes your car run better, but today was the first cool morning that I've ever driven my Zx2. I've only had it for 3 months. The difference between two days ago at 90* and today at 60* was amazing. And my exhaust seemed to sould hella better too.

We can kemanize the hell out of your intake, and you'll notice it just that much more. :)

Few simple mods to the intake involving chopping out silencers and what-not. If we go all the way with it, you can end up with essentially a ram-air cold-air intake.

I see... I ordered some cold air off ebay. It should be in today or tomorrow w/ my coilovers. Now i just need some wheels... Can you kemanize aftermarket intake? Or would it be pointless?

Pointless, and $5 says the "cold air" intake you bought was just a Bomz. If it was under $100, it's a piece. I have the same one, and it sucks ass.

Yeah... It was $60. It's not the best intake... but hopefully better than stock...

I don't know if that's the one you meant... but there it is.

Oh! That's actually a good one.
You need to cut your frame to truly make it cold-air though. Well worth it IMO. :)

Or I could go ricer style and take out my head light! :D

That might be a good idea. Two headlights are over-rated anyways. Who needs em both.

My opinion on intakes is, dont sweat the small stuff the difference between a good intake (name brand) and a shitbox is what 1/2 a hp, anything is better then stock. Sweat the big stuff (what compression ratio should i order my pistons) , not the small stuff (omg should I go k&n or s&b)

true inis but I must say going from a hotshot to a bomz SUCKS ASSSSS.
I have had all the intakes for this car except the k&n typhoon, and the fzracing intake. Bomz being the worst one. The keman is better than the bomz.
I now have roush and am quite happy with it.
And no I did not spend a dime on all the setups. I had so many they paid for themselves. Buy cheap, run, clean them up to new, and sell for more. 8)

Jarred, you gotta realize that intakes aren't just "1/2hp difference". They're 3-4 wheel horse, on a stock motor. On an aspiration-modified ZX2 (like mine), the difference between a Bomz and a Hotshot is going to be phenominal. More gains might be had for the $150, but that's not to say that there aren't substantial gains in the intake alone.
arden: the Roush is a very rare intake. Only 113 of them were ever made ... if you want one, you'd better be prepared to pay for it. You can get one that does the same thing for a lot less.
