I mod differently here than I do over there. I like modding both. But over there sometimes I want to flip out but cant cuz I have to show responsibility because others dont.

I have locked more threads, warned more people, started enforcing more rules...than I think have ever been done before.

And as it stands...there are no rules here. Just dont piss me off :twisted:

With the new version there will be set rules and I expect EVERYONE to follow them. I will personally E-SMACK each and everyone of you who does not. Including other mods/admins who do not follow them.

We'll be able to implement a voting system, wherein members can vote every now and then towards individual posts (or maybe users). KCMS would look at a bad post, add its contents to a database, and as more "bad" posts with the same type of content come in, start to assign positive and negative values to the post.

For instance, if someone posts "thats a stupid idea", and someone else votes it bad, then the system knows posts with that phrase *might* be bad. If 50 more of them are made over the next few months, and 28 of them are voted bad, the system now has 29 votes for the phrase "thats a stupid idea", and all the words inside of it.

But, if somebody posts "thats a good idea", it wouldn't get flagged, because several people would have voted posts positive that had the word "good" in them (I like your decals, they look good = positive. Oooh, those are good numbers = positive).

If enough people complain about bad posts, the system can implement a sort of spam-filtering process (that's how spam filters work, analyzing trends). Whenever someone posts a "bad" post (as per the peer-judged rules), they get docked a point. A member of a certain authority (maybe 50 minimum posts and 2 months, for instance) can dock one person one point per week, as they see fit.

You'd get maybe 5 points per month ... which would correlate into benefits. More webspace, more leeway to do stupid shit, etc.

It sounds confusing, and it is. It will be a pain to write. Let me know if you think it's a cool idea or not, or if you need more clarification on it.
