I just got my intake and it doesn't fit right... so i kinda ghetto rigged it. But there is a hole in the aluminum pipe that has some rubber around it. But my box only had 2 hoses in it... Do i just leave the third hole uncovered? And on the stock air filter case there is some kind of electrical.... There is no place for that on aftermarket. What do i do about this? Just disconnect it? :?

your intake should have only ONE hose connected to it. i had two, but bryan said that it will make your car start making squeeling noises.... mine hasnt yet and i have still yet to figure out what to do with with the mini air filter and hose. the extra hole, and what will become extra 2 holes, find a rubber cap at autozone or someplace and pop it on. i am actually using a piece of spark plug wire cap on one hole... thats ghetto!

Your car will run like utter shit without "that electrical" stuff plugged in. You're sure it was a ZX2 intake?

Update... My friend appearantly ordered me a dif. intake then i told him to buy. Nowhere on the site i looked at did it say bomz. I got a bomz. I heard you guys saiying that it sucked and everything, and i was skeptical. then i slap my bomz on the z and take out for the evening. and lo and behold it blows ass: noticably worse acceleration and felt less powerful and i didn't like how it sounded. it fucking sucks. :evil:

True.. But the electrical stuff isn't plugged in... there is no place for it. So i think i might try to send it back... and my check engine light came on too

Still looks like a Bomz, and no, it's not the first one you showed me. That intake seems to have the MAF underneath it, with the connector pointing towards the battery.

you'll notice a lot more power once the MAF is plugged back in. Right now, your car is running like shit, because your PCM has no idea how much air is flowing into the engine. It has to guess. It can get close (by looking at your throttle), but it's usually nowhere near.

So, it freaks out and dumps in as much fuel as it can. Runs rich, smells like ass, burns up your catilytic converter, kills power, throws a check-engine, etc. Hunt until you're blue in the face for a way to make the stock MAF work with this tube, and you may like it more than stock.

Also, look under the 'X' on that auction. See the rubber tube that goes out and around back to the intake? Leave that disconnected, and plug the intake with tape.

Dude, I wasn't just saying that. :P Remember Brian's car, the red 98? Raised all hell at idle? Yeah, soon as we unplugged his hose it went away. Same thing happened to me, too. I'd be careful about leaving it on, because I'm not sure what it's doing to the motor.
