well , not so great. Bad timing on running out of propane . So what we're doing is switching to electric water heater. And everyone knows me, i start one thing I'll go the mile. So I bought : (mind you half my house is pex, half is copper...and yes I own all the pex tools)

GE watersmart electric water heater .95 efficenty rating, highest I could find in electric. And it adapts to your living style - 12 yr warraunty. 40 gallon for now, I'll add a second one this winter because we have a jacuzzi.
Manabloc distribution system

Then I'm taking the 3/4 main in, to 1 inch pex, from there to a Kenmore water softner that I got free (tell all later) , then 1 inch out of that to the manabloc , then 1inch from the manibloc to the water heater (reducer of 3/4 at the water heater) , then 1 inch out of the waterheater to the manabloc.

I'll run 3/4 pex and 1/2 pex to the rest of the house.

Thing about pex is the the ID is smaller the copper. 1 inch pex is about 7/8's , 3/4 pex is 5/8 ID , and 1/2 is 3/8's

Thing about faucets is, that they're taken down to 3/8's under the sink anyways, so that rules that out. And shower/tub valves are 1/2 inch so I'll run 3/4 pex there. Also I'll run 3/4 pex to washer and my two sil faucets.

Oh ya, I got hot/cold sil faucets. Two , adding another one to the east side of the house.

I'm also considering putting a pump on the water heater to cerculate it. Not sure yet. Probally going to get this stuff going first, then the house. The more mods from there.

Its going to be really nice not having to turn off portions of the house to get to one faucet or joint.

I got the 30 output block, I think I'll have 9 hot and 10 cold for now. 12 hot/18 cold are available. I got the larger manifold because it was only 20 more then the 24 output model.

Also this will give me spots for sprinkler system (would like to do some day) , and water to the garage (big project because of the fucked up hold tank here)

I'll post before and after pictures!

Total tab so far:
Right around a 1000.00, but I'll probally have 150.00 in fittings I can take back.

I also have right around 200.00 in moving the propane tank and running new black pipe lines/concrete pad/ trenching.

Had to get rid of the propane in the driveway, and the copper feed lines was a bunch of BS.

well we ran out of propane sunday night, I got the stuff all installed tonight.. just finished around 1am including programming the water softner. I started around 815pm , had to watch terminator :)
I capped the 3/4 in to the main cold side, and soldered on 1/2 pex to both sides of the preexisting water heater lines , then I ran two lines the manifold. Because I used 1/2 off the pex (which is really like 3/8's , we lost alot of water pressure lol
Oh well , I'll swap the rest of the house in due time.

I'll post before and afters in the next few days.
