Hey guys, I don't remember who here knows josh, I had posted this a couple days earlier over at teamzx2 and figured i'd put it here too.
I'm posting up on here for many of you guys who know jdrzx2. On october 9th at approximately 7:45am he wrecked. The details about the crash are still unclear but here is what we do know for sure. He was traveling down the highway, crossed the median, across oncoming traffic, then through some grass, back on to a side street, then we believe he hit a curb which sent him airborn. He landed still on the bike, then it swung him around, his leg hit a sign, and then him and the bike continued essentially flying down over an embankment. He was sedated and on a ventilator until this past friday and he has been slowly becoming more and more coherent.
Here is a list of the injuries:
a couple broken ribs
a broken sternum - (now the doctor says it's not broken)
bleeding of the brian - (it has since stopped)
contusion of the spleen(sp?)
contusion on his lungs
multiple scrapes/brusies(arms, hands, legs, etc)
fracture in his left hand/wrist - (now the doctor says it's not broken)
broken left femur
he lost his right leg below the knee
also enumonia(sp?) - (he got it after entering the hospital of course)
They closed up his right leg this past thursday.
Just wanted to let everyone on here know what happened. Unfortunately he's going to be out of work for quite some time too with no money coming in, since he was part time with no vacation or sick time.
I have setup a paypal account for Josh if anyone is interested in donating. He has an apartment that he won't be able to go back to for quite some time, especially considering it's on the top floor. He was working as much as he could at work and was still barely making it. Now the bike is gone and he didn't have full coverage on it so there's something he'll be paying on for quite sometime as well. Among all the bills and meds everything he will eventually need once he leaves the hospital(which we believe could be another month).
The paypal account for him is jdfund08@yahoo.com. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated by him and his family.
