if your going to buy a new turbo, look up gt28r (rated up to 300hp), gt28rs (340ish) , gt2871r (400ish)

the 71 is actaully a t2/t3 hybrid , the rs has a better flowing intake wheel then the r

oh and all those turbo's range 500-1100 , if your wanting just a turbo to get, look at the ones your currently are...and you can later upgrade to one of the ones i mentioned.

thanks, my plan is to see how the engine takes the smaller/cheaper turbo and then go for all out performance later down the road when i work the kinks out of the turbo system. I believe you told me about the switch and how the gt28's can easily be interchanged in place of the T25. I still like the idea and plan, and good luck with your 400 + hp Z!

correct the downpipe flange (if you do it right) and mani will be the same, only thing that will change, if so..is the intake discharge and intake inlet.
