well i had to drive to new york to get it. spent more money total than i should have, that will hurt me for a month or two. but i have a new 1998 plymouth neon competition coupe. its got 5spd, 2.0 DOHC, 4 wheel disc brakes, front/rear sway bars. drove up and got it saturday, worked on it all day doing repairs yesturday. not done yet still needs a little work. thankfully everything i had on my red neon will transfer to this one. so i have the short shifter installed, new intake and tb installed, working on the sound system(stock system completely blown out), relocating the battery with the box from the red neon, building the CAI, PS and AC delete, installing fog lights, replaced the rear view mirrow with the one from my irocz camaro(its wider and has map lights built in, just have to wire them in), a friend is going to help me get kyb gr2 gas struts and i still have the lowering springs from the red neon(right now the new neon is a boat the suspenssion is totally shot), the dealer said it had new tires and clutch. today i should be replacing the valve cover gasket to stop the leak, i have new plug wires and E3 plugs. i have a set of rims already i just need to get new tires for em. going to finish installing the battery relocation kit, going to change the rear speakers(i dont have ones to replace the stock 6" ones in the doors or the tweeters in the dash yet. i have 2 10" subs that are going in the trunk with the battery.

i hope i can get it running again by today at the latest. need to take it to a car wash and do a photo shoot.

I think those e3 plugs are bogus, any pics of the car?

i have used E3's in at least 3 or 4 of my cars and they work great for me. i love em. but yeah i just took some pics yesturday i just need to upload em.

i will upload pics tonight. and im not going to do the srt turbo. for this neon im hoping for a NA motor, still working on the first neon, well not working on it its just kind of sitting cause no money. but that neon i am making my biggest project. tubular front and rear ends. and i am convertting it to a turbo awd drag car. i already have the drive train to use, dontated from a first gen eagle talon. and i already have a shop that said they could build the tubular frame and fabricate everything needed to install the awd drivetrain. and they the cost of doing so actually isnt that high.

front has lowering springs rear stock springs, showing comparison, when i got the car the stock struts were completely blown and leaking the internal fluids. i did put the rear lowering springs on after this i just wanted a comparison pic.

with my paycheck next week i will be getting a TTi long tube race header and an electronic cut out, putting those with the hushpower 2 resonator, pypes M80 muffler and a dynomax muffler will be my exhaust. since i dont have a welder or the garage with enough amps to power one even if i did have one im going to have to take it to a shop to have them weld it up.

well got the TTI header and the cut out ordered, but they didnt have the cutout in stock so my whole order got put on back order. fml.

The new silver Plymouth is clean! Like what you have done for it thus far. I take it the rear is getting lowered too?

I say get rid of the ricer fogs though. It is an ACR and ACR's did not come with foglights, and if you were to put foglamps on it, I would put OEM ones on there. Those are way too small. Not sure about the 160 degree thermostat either, Engine is designed to run at 190-195 degrees to burn off moisture and to run properly. I would atleast go with a 180 if anything. 160 in the winter time is not a good idea, let alone at all. But don't get me wrong, I love EVERYTHING else about it.

well when it gets colder out here i can put the old(actually its brand new) thermostat back in. but out here i think 160 will be ok during hot seasons. the header and cutout finally arrived now im just waiting to get a dynomax "bullet" muffler then on to the shop to get everything welded up. thanks for the compliments :)

ok well i got the quarter windows tinted, i told the guy i wanted 18% but thats not what the asshole gave me, oh well i have another set i can get tinted. i got rid of the ricer fogs and replaced with stockers, oh and over new years some jerk thought it would be a great prank to cut my hood locks, so my hood flew up while i was driving and smashed the windshield. the hood was totaled too. got a new hood but its purple, think im going to go with a purple silver color scheme. replace the bumbers, fenders, doors, and trunk with the puple parts. the only silver left is the frame(quarter and roof). debating whether i want to powder coat the rims hot pink or dark purple to match the purple body parts. next plan though it to pull a head and prep it for full mod. will be a part by part thing with a shop.

ok i have an appointment to have the windshield replaced next week, and might be getting the howell automotive AF/X ECU. depends on how much i have after the windshield and rent. cant wait till my tax return comes in.

Howell Automotive is still in business!? Must be buying it used? Not sure about the whole purple and pink thing... Sounds a bit fruity to me.

well i didnt get the ecu but i installed the tti header i already had. unfortunately there are two broken studs/bolts so the is a leak on the drivers side. no im not the one that broke em. but with the header on you notice the leak now. it needs to get warm out so i can fix it >_>

i got a welder now. a 120V arc chicago electric. so hopefully i can put together my exhaust finally. if i manage to get it together ill get some picks up.

fixed the exhaust mani leak, but the header's collector still isnt sealing right. and welded part of the new exhaust.

well the problem now is for some reason TTi made the collector flange to large so its not a tight enough fit to seal the collector. going to have to make my own flange. get a pipe and flare it out till its just right. but i cant do anymore to the exhaust until it warms up and i either get paid or my federal return just for the little stuff i need to finish the exhaust.

tryin to figure out how i can squeeze some more power out of the little engine. so far ower adders are: TTi header(cat delete), egr block off, larger fuel rail, larger TB, custom CAI, 160 TS, E3 plugs, new wires, thuroughly cleaned intake mani, solid front and rear MM's.

anything else i can do that is beginner to moderate mod? im having a brain fart at the moment on the different mods. im on leave till the 5th and im completely bored. i want some more power. lol

well got the header collector leak somewhat fixed. mostly. its much much quieter now but now it has a ricer kinda tone to it. still have stock muffler on it. but feels like a different car now.
