hey,

i was curious if i could find steel front brake lines for less than what zxtuner is charging somewhere locally... anyone know anything?
CJW
I bought my front a rear from a group buy awhile back. They were like 90 shipped I think. Great thing too. Gets rid of most of the mush in the pedal
arden
alright, so they are always that expensive... thats cool. i just wanted to check first. and i cant wait to have a stiffer pedal
Sully
Probably wait till the cars packed away for the winter before I work on the brakes. Hopefully ss lines, new rotors, maybe a rear disc conv. Hope to get a new clutch and flywheel in to. Don't wanna limit the drive time so gonna try to get most of the internal work done over the winter since it stays garaged anyways :D
arden
thats a good idea... i might do the same. i definitely wont be driving it in the snow and i still have my first car, my 94 grand am to putt around in the winter with... it kicks ass in the snow! i just dont like having to pay monthly for my Z and then pay 100 a month for insurance for the GA too... :(
CJW
Um brakes are cake and downtime is minimal. If you dont have an hour to spend then I guess do it the way you are saying...

Hardest part is bleeding the lines
Sully
Brakes weren't the only thing listed, well for me at least.
arden
well if i havent bragged enough, i have a pretty serious engine project in the works for this winter
Sully
Your kiddin, engine project..... when was this announced :P
CJW
I have minimal things left to do to my zx2 and should put me in the high 14s with a good launch. And 40mpg+

As for my project I may go a different route with the kct project as gas prices are a bitch. Im thinking possibly a mudder. Running on biodeasel....as a daily driver

Ill post about it in a few
arden
yes i have had serious thoughts about scrapping my engine project too because of gas.. but i figure if i milk the clock at work for an extra hour or two each week that pays for the extra gas!
