I've been in contact with some guys at Kaaz to get a stock replacement LSD for the zx2, or any G series transmission with 26 spline axles.

I need to get 29 more ppl for this to go into production. Initially you'll put 50% down with a final estimating price of around 950-1050 , once we have the amount of ppl required to make this. The guys at Kaaz will come into play and tell you where to send the money...etc...etc
They've told me from start date (money sent from everyone) it will take 30-90 days for r&d to production.

Here is a article online that I have found about the Kaaz lsd :

I need you to PM or email me that your in, with the following info: s/n (and if not from kctuner...where from , First name, phone number with area code, and a contact email address. None of this will be post on the board, only your first name or s/n will be.

let me clarify pricing, it will be 50% of the full price before production, and when shipping is ready, you'll owe the other 50% (which will be 30-90 days from pre-production) , this differential is about 400 less then a quaife and is a better unit (imo) .

how does kaaz compare to say, phantomgrip ?

Phantom grip is not a true Lsd, it its more so a plate and springs, that apply pressure to your open differential gears. Making them harder to turn, thus making it more of a solid differential. It is in no way shape or form a true LSD. Big difference. Even with a phantomgrip installed your still walking on water, eventaully you'll fall in. Kaaz will fix that weak link in your g-series.

also note that this is a run of 30, no more , no less. Get in on this now!!

questions answered (takes awhile to get stuff answered because I work days and can't send a email out til that night)

Run of 30:

He replied: This is considered a custom batch, in general the shop makes a few extra's for them selves. If they decide this is a good selling model, they will continue production. As of now its a batch of 30.

Next questions sent will be about warraunty, replacement clutches (and how long to expect life out of the stock ones that come with it) , upgraded clutches (faster reaction) , gl-5 fluid and your transmission with brass internals, 5,000 mile tranny fluid changes (if this is true, I wouldn't let this push you away, just do it when you do your oil change)

Think thats about it.

Ok I got a hold of him again :D

Warraunty: There is no warraunty, he said its hard to warraunty something thats made to be a improvement to the car, they (as a company) can not tell how its being driven and/or if its being raced. Me personally from stuff I have seen about the Kaaz LSD, I take his word that it doesn't need a warraunty...but if one was to have issue's Im sure that they'd work with you.

GL-5 fluid, they have a designed fluid thats made to work with brass internals, he said the focus and many many other cars (he named a crap load) have had the same issue. He said there fluid is designed to work with brass internals.

Wear and Tear, he said really depends the driver, but he knows many LSD's that last 80k-125k

He also told me alot of positive stuff about it compared to torsen. He said that torsen because it is a gear type, always has a heat there, and when driven harder it causes more heat and for the fluid to break down. He said that the Clutch Type does need alot of maintance, but he said because Torsen type has the heat problem it is also recommended to have frequent fluid changes.

Then I asked him a few things about how it works, he said you can be airborn and the lsd will still be working, VS the torsen type which you get a wheel off the ground and its a open diff.

When I type this it sounds very bias, but he wasn't at all..he did tell me alot of benefits of the torsen type over the Clutch type. But I'm not going into details about that wink.gif

He requested me to send him a list of all cars this would be compatible on.

Thats what I'm working on now.
