i was wondering if pots was only available for the Z or if it works with other vehicles.

depends what car, I see it being almost compatible with any ford running a MAF air system, although I can't honestly say the same results will come out.

POTS has nothing to do with the MAF.
It'll work on any vehicle that uses a negative-coefficent thermisistor for the engine temperature sensor and/or air intake temperature sensor. (higher resistance as it gets colder)
