ok Im going to give an unbiased run down on both shifters
first price:
Pacesetter around 70-90
B&M around 100-140
Height reduction:
Pacesetter is adjustable from stock to god damn my back doesnt bend that way
B&M is around 2-3" I believe
Throw legnth:
Pacesetter adjustable from stock to .75" from 1st to second
B&M is 2.5" from 1st to second
Fitment:
Pacesetter fits as though it were stock
B&M fits like a medium glove on a medium-large hand, tight but will not move
Driveability:
Pacesetter is very hard to shift because of its teflon ball which rolls against the teflon orings. Ive been told by everyone who ever drove my car or ran through the gears on my car "omg" or "thats horrible" or "holy shit". Once you get used to it, it is fine though...took me 15 minutes. Height adjustment is excellent for those with long arms.
B&M feels close to stock, height is not that much shorter. reach is not a problem. smooth engagement. A little too high for my liking.
Pros:
B&M:
smooth action, lock up is tight, closer to stock
Pacesetter:
lock up is tight, adjustable height and throw, install by novice in 15minutes, can use stock shift knob with no modification
Cons:
B&M:
not adjustable, stock shift knob needs the white part cut off to fit, install is not a 'quick get it in' type deal if you want the rubber o rings to stay intact
Pacesetter:
very tight, poor material choices
Now my honest opinion:
I honestly have to say I like both. I lean towards pacesetter simply because it is adjustable. But lean back towards B&M because it is smooth. Pick your poison 'tall and smooth' or 'short and tight'
