ESPN - 3 pm Saturday. If you're on Dish Network it is channel 140. If you've got cable, I don't have a clue.

Tell us how you REALLY feel!

Hijack: so do you like cable or DirecTV?

After getting the HD tuner for my big screen, I'm hooked on HDTV. What a difference! Chiefs football, NASCAR, and CSI all look absolutely fantastic in HD.

I'll give you a hint, I work for Time Warner.

I'm not bias at all, but I'll give you my opinion, from what I see:

Dish Benefits:
Cheaper
Sometimes better packages
Cheaper if you don't like english
They'll install it anywhere (when I say anywhere I mean anywhere)

Cable Benefits:
Cleaner picture (if you have snow, its your house or wiring to your house NOT the company)
Better Service
Sometimes better packages
More tech. involved

One thing I do not like, is with satalite, they will install any which way they can. The problem with this, is they either destroy your house, or your apartment. When its a apartment and they destroy it, 99% of the time YOU are responsible, and dont even know it. On a house they'll put holes in your roof or siding and overtime there will be problems with leaks, if not rot.
Also when you buy a newer house, it comes pre-wired for cable, all the wires are taken outside to a central location, most of the time right next to power (for grounding reasons) . If you've had cable before, sat will come in and destroy what was once good, and make theres work. The problem with this is once you switch back, or to something else. You no longer have the wiring there, because they have spliced into it.

And last but not least, they don't ground. They bump, bumping is when they take your phone service, cable or anything other utility and take that ground off and put there's there. The reason for this is because they are to lazy to properly do the job, I say this with confidence as nearly 100% of the time, I see bumping, and Sat is not the only ppl that do it, phone will bump time warner and so on, and so on...

there is many other reasons but I could pretty much write a book.

When ya wanna switch to cable, PM me. I'll be glad to help you out, and install it too.
