i figured out why i am having problems with my car. i have a gasket problem, very small but it is still there and could lead to something worse. i think the problem is with the right head gasket. if this is they case then i have had this problem since i bought the car. what i noticed is oil in my coolent resavoir. this would explain the bad gas millege and other problems that have been occuring. and the problem is nothing can be done about it right now that i know about. i dont have the money for the gasket let alone having someone do it. and my parents cant afford it either as they are sending me to college this week. and we still have to get thousands of dollers worth of tools still. dont really know what anyone here can do, i cant go to godzillas cause there is no time left. and i dont know if i can do anything at pitt. just kind of venting my frustration out to tell the truth really. sorry for this pointless thread. well its worth a try, any one have an idea as to what i can do?

i will hate to see this car go.

Aren't you going to school at Pitt State for Automotive? Why don't you just get it fixed at the shop there?.........................

thats what i think might happen. but then again i need permission from the people there to use it. and i dont know if they will let me. and even then i need the parts.

i dont suppose if anyone goes out to pick N' pull that they could get the entire intake set up including the tb for a '93 929 and i can pay whichever way is choosen by the person that gets it?

i'll buy the car off you, if you decide you don't want it. a 929 at the yard is a pretty hard thing to find for parts. i have been looking for a 92 for months with no luck.

Yeah dude, good luck finding one of those at the pick n pull.

You should be fine.... Just take your car in to Pitt State and explain your money situation, and they will have students fix it for you.... all you have to do is pay for the product. How many miles are on your car? Ir might not be worth fixing....

at one point there was one in the yard, at least thats what you told me jdr. my car has over 104k.

If it's been this way for a while, maybe it will continue to run until you can figure out what you want to do (and can afford to do).

Oil in the coolant is better than coolant in the oil. thumbsup.gif

Just watch the fluids carefully and drive it. Mazdas are tough.

yup. i still need to change the oil as soon as i can to see if it is just oil in the coolent and not both. plus i am do for an oil change soon anyway.
