Grrr...shall we say that I think that anyone who participates in street racing is an idiot...

I have my reasons for despising anyone who does...

All in opinion, everytime I've joined a crowd to illegal street race I've had a blast and rather enjoyed it in a safe manner (atleast on my part) ...those that risk there own life...well its there life... Not mine to control.

This topic gets out of hand I'll sick my dogs on whomever.

ok, a small mistake on my part. i dont race, but watching is fun. yea thats illegal too and it just "eggs" on the people racing but its a huge rush. yes its stupid and dumb. ill agree with mizzou 110%, ill take the names, and ill probably take the penalty some day too but if its done in a semi-safe manner, such as abandoned roads where no one can be harmed, i see nothing wrong with it. just be careful.

Kyle , there is no reason to accept name calling. No one here is perfect nor has the perfect life to be judging anyone else. I'm not here to tell anyone of you what to do in your life, so who is anyone else on here to Judge?

Define the perfect person and I'll reopen that statement and let everyone do as they please. But with that said, its basicly anyone and everyones opinion on the subject.

they said that it should stay on the track but my opinion is that, yes there tracks out there but there are hardly enough and that it is just not worth it on the tracks out there. But even if there were more tracks it would hardly do anything to detour people from doing it on the street. for one its free, second every one can do it, and third there is more of a sense of freedom and a feeling of being a "bad boy/girl" due to the risks. and it my thought that for these feelings street racing will thrive and maybe even expand exponentially.

Just the the thrill... same reason why people do anything else illegal its just cars have a wider fan base than other illegal activities. I enjoy watching street racing a lot and I've done some myself with previous cars... not saying that accidents don't happen but there is a degree of stupidity that ties in with a lot of the accidents that do happen... i.e. swerving in traffic... or motorcycles doin 180mph fly-bys to show off. There are a lot of ways to prevent accidents from happenin its the people that just go out and do it to be "cool" that fuck up because they don't know what there doin or how to handle their vehicle. On that note what they said like 6 accidents in the last 3 years. 3 YEARS... how many non-racing death accidents have occurred in 3 years... and not just driving other everyday activities. Don't get me wrong I don't think some weekend noob should run out to some outside street and start plowin down the road if he DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE HIS CAR! Like I said I've done plenty of track racing so I know a little bit about what to expect if somethin does start to go wrong. If you approach the matter with comman sense then its no different then on the track... the same accident rules apply. Sometimes they happen sometimes they don't but thats just the everyday risk we all take by gettin out of bed. Just my plesant rant. Thank you come again. 8)

I never liked going to the races. It always turned out to be a bunch of slow ricers and egotistical V-8 drivers. Plus, my car wasn't showy. I am big on sleepers and it wouldn't make much sense to go and show everyone what's under my hood. Now, I'll say that I'm deffinately not above whoopin up on somone if the the circumstances are right. But I'll turn down a race if they aren't.

i myself enjoy going to the street races...i like hanging out with my friends....watching races...and even racing...the spot on channel 9...raced there a few times...one night i ran like 6 times there...as someone else has stated on a different forum..we've known...i've known anyways..that there would be a bust for quite some time...it's what a cop told us awhile back...and also, that the police are targeting the front street crew...i myself go down and play it cool with those guys whenever me and my friends went down there...most of the drama has stopped,,well gun wise from at least one individual that i know of has ceased to my knowledge.....i knew a busst was coming, however i always look forward to fri. and sat. nights and going out to the races, whether i race or not...i love the atmosphere that's there....and i'm just there to have fun.

the only time I saw illegal street racing in KC the second run or so they were running about 3 stop lights or so in the process and someone almost ran smack into a semi that was pulling out at the green light if the semi hadn't stopped he would have plowed right into it cause there was nowhere else to go and not enought time to stop or even slow down much of any. now in that case the street ricer wasn't really putting a semi at risk he would have gotten screwed up, but if that had been a minivan with kids in it?

I'll admit I think it's probably a great time loads of fun but I'll stick to the tracks if I'm ever racing. PDT_07

in the past year or so Illegal racing has tripled (easily) because how they've broke down on Kcir. Prices have double in the past 4-5 yrs there too. I think the largest illegal racing I have been to has had 500-800 ppl attend

yea it really pisses me off about KCIR you shouldn't move into a place next to a friggin racetrack then complain to the city about the noise mgiht as well sell your sole to the devil then when you go to hell sue him for it being to hot.

I'm so mad I think I'll go shoot something :snipe:
