well i will be starting to accent my interior soon, plan to go with a black and white theme. plan to do most of the work myself. new upolstry, paint the trim, and a little more. does anyone have any ideas about what i can do about a custom sub box? the one i have in there is fine but i kind of want to make it look like its part of the car but the problem with that is my car is rear wheal drive so my gas tank takes up most of my trunk space. and the interior trim and side carpeted cover and stuff in my trunk is not completly all together.

put a one piece carbon fiber, smooth flowing, thing.... to cover your whole trunk and hold the subs also..

a little update.

well i have the rear door jams(things at the bottum of the door ment for feet to step on getting into the car) painted and they look awsome, have run out of primer and clear coat and on my no-job and college situation have no money right now to spare, still need to do the front. and even when those are done project is at a halt until i can figure out how to switch the fake leather material. want to take out the fake leather stuff and put in a soft fabric. or something that matchs the door trim. and it sucks cause everything but the door stuff is the fake leather stuff. plant to do some small accents on the exterior if i can find out how to take them off.

you could make a fiberglass sub box. tape off an area very very well. Lay down some spray wax like youd use on the body of the car. Go to town with fiberglass resin and mat.

Once that drys pull it out and voila you have the back of your box.

Now you can go for the jump out style or the actual box looking style. Jump out you need a sub ring, fleece, and dowel rods. Regular you will need Wood as well as fleece, sub ring, and dowels.

But Im not sure how far you want to go with this...

i like jump out but i have no idea how to start or any of the steps for or where to get materials or what materials to get, every fg stuff i have seen is stuff just for repairs. i dont know what to get get.

get a hold of myself or CJW. I am pretty sure both of us know how to make the custom sub box. I can even point you to a write up if you would like it

not trying to resurrect an old thread here, but arden, how much would you charge to make a custom sub box for a set of 12's?
arden
well how big do you want it, like dimensions wise. I assume you want 2 12's in it next to each other... so it would be a box look with the 12's risen up a little bit... It probably would not cost that much, just lots of fiberglass resin and have to buy the wood supporting materials
