Hey gang, I'm Rodney, I live the the KC Northland.

I autocross a red 1990 Mazda Miata, and do some open road course track days at Heartland Park Topeka, and Hallett (Okla) and MAM in Iowa. I've taken the Miata down the strip at KCIR, but I'm a bigger fan of turning corners in it. Miata mods are mainly suspension related.

I also have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab. "Yeah, it's got a hemi". :D I hope to run it at KCIR sometime soon. Truck mods include a drop-in K&N filter, folding bed cover and Line-X over the rails liner. I'm resisting the temptation of a SuperChip, headers, CAI, etc. This truck is awesome the way it is.

We also have a silver '99 Dodge Avenger, 3.0 v6 automatic. Stock except for some chrome wheels. (I did a track day in it at HPT before I had the roll bar in the Miata.)

Since I have teenage daughters, we also have some "beater cars" around the house, because I don't want to give all my money to the insurance company. Mazda 626s and 1g DSMs. My daughters also autox the Miata.

I did the Richard Petty Driving Experience at KS Speedway, and my best lap was 39.9nn for a lap average speed of 140 mph. I used to race karts at the Liberty Speedway.

I don't have a ZX2. wink.gif

In my dreams, one day I'll have a Spec Miata race car. (But probably after the daughters college tuition is paid.)

Who's next? (Does this need to be a sticky? Noobs could see it...)
CJW
Hey,
Im Carl, Josh, CJ, etc. I live in York, PA.

I drive and modify my 1999 ford escort. I have no intentions of racing it or anything. Its just a car for me to play with.

I also have a non running 1990 dodge shadow which would be nice to get running again cuz it was a very cool car.

I have 3 best friends and the rest of my friends Ive met through the forums. I am an Uncie Josh to 2 of my best friends. (1 to be and 1 for around 14 1/2-15 months)

Overall goals vehicle wise is to own 1 fwd with great gas mileage and a good bit of kick(zx2), 1 awd turbo 4 door, 1 rwd turbo 2 door, and 1 big ass diesel truck.

Life goals:
Design custom parts and make a name for myself/business in the car world. Any of my close friends will tell you my brain never turns off. I have a pad and pencil next to my bed, workstation, home comp, even in my car. I like to learn how things work and how to improve them via real facts, graphs, and data.
Also, to bring all my friends with me for the ride if anything ever takes off.

Currently I have a short shifter design ready to get qouted for the escort zx2, an intake is also designed and ready for qoutes for the 98-03 zx2, and a personal project is just about finished with the stock airbox/mafbox of the escort zx2.

I will do more vehicles evenually, I just dont own any others :-x
Sully
Corey here aka sully....

Currently residing in north KC, have been for about a year, and before that would be a knot on a log named Slater.

Projects: Currently own a 99 zx2 that was purchased with heavy front end damage and a salvage title. After working back to stock specs I started a slight mod process and now I'm shootin for just show mods with a little bit of extra power.
Previously owned and modded an 89 5.0 which was raced it's entire existance at KCIR winning high school drags one year... and a 95 Probe GT with a heavy mod list including the KLZE.

Personal: My hobby has always been cars, I was born around em and grew up with em. My dad modified cars as did both older brothers. When work allows I'm currently working on practicing my painting skills with an old friend of mine that does some of the best paint work I've ever seen in person. Other than that if I have the right tools to do a job then I'll do it, I don't like entrusting my stuff in the hands of people I don't relate with, and besides that takes all the fun out of modding. Also play guitar in a band (woot!) cuz I just enjoy music (had to throw that in there)

Future: I like to one day do a full restoration on an old project car... possible a torino cobra or an older truck. Maybe even with my son/daughter when the time rolls around. Never can say when a projects gonna start, may just have kids by then just have to find a girl to deal with my car habits  . If I ever get up to par I'd like to leave my current job and just do strictly painting... in the long run I probably wouldn't make as much money as I would where I'm at but its not about the money anyways.

name is mike and i am currently a senior at Shawnee mission Northwest highschool. i have basically just been accepted to Pittsburg state university, down 69 south, and there i intend to major in auto, minor in business, and i am even considering mastering in technology. after college i plan to wed and then move to a town a little bit smaller than shawnee. and then get a job and save up to be able to open my own performance/electronic/tune and install shop.

as of now i do not own a vehicle due to the fact that the last one i had blew up. it was a '91 chevy corsica and my parents for some reason thought that replacing the engine was to "big" of a project for me to do. (over protective, military raised, christain mother)(whipped father).
