are the 1987 chevy malibu and the 1987 chevy el camino the same thing? i was looking for parts and fiberglass stuff and what i kept getting was malibu stuff. are they the same body style?

From the Front doors forward, the bodies are identical. Frames are the same. Driveline is the same.
The El Camino is almost a pickup truck.

so if i was looking for a hood and it came up for a malibu it would still fit?
