I seem to have a problem, i have a miss fire and was told one cylinder has low compression, from the exhaust you can hear some lifter noise, i am fearing that i have a burned valve, the car still runs pretty good, but you can hear the miss clear as day when it is idling. :/ need some help fixing this if i get the valves, i do not have the tools to do this. open to suggestions as to what else it could be, its getting fuel and spark to all cylinders, timing is right...idk

rebuilding that motor probally isn't in your best intrest if your wanting power and keeping fuel economy.
I'd suggest a BP motor swap, on that car is should be fairly easy and only a few hundred bucks if that, you'll have more into labor then parts.

Paul is a good handy man on car, but I dont suggest everyone going to him every time they have an issue. Seems he gets "used" alot here...and I bet at times he just wants to get on with his own projects.
In the year and a half I've known Paul, I've only seen him take on one project (his zx2) because he's always working on someone else's stuff.

I'd get new spark plugs for your current motor, and then work on collecting all the motor swap stuff from pick n pull. And do it later on over the winter.
