Moving to Aspiration ...

Resonated catbacks include an additional 'resonator', which acts as a secondary muffler midway through the tubing. It helps smooth out the rasp, to help the muffler shape the flow. Choose a resonated kit if you prefer sound over performance (if price isn't an issue). The performance loss is only noticable to the most serious of racers, who are trying to eek every last ounce of power out of their car.

well i was looking at some and they weren't too expensive. think i might invest.

Might as well go resonated linz... you'll like the sound better, think there a little more expensive but not much.

to silence that annoying rasp is worth the HP loss, even if its only 1 or 2 hp

I have a resonated trubendz, and it doesn't do crap for the rasp.

I went to Midas and paid $100 for a 2.25 cat back (no res) and hooked it up to my dual tip straight through muffler and it sounds awesome. It will be raspy for about 2 minutes or after you floor it once or twice but then there is no rasp.
