wtf is that? I haven't authorized anyone ANYONE to inquire my credit, in the last 3 yrs I have only applied for a Nebraska Furniture Mart card..nothing else

I also have other stuff

PRM-AT&T WIRELESS

PRM-FINGERHUT/CIT

PRM-FIRST PREMIER BANK PROMO

all these are recent, like within the last few weeks to 3 months ago... I'm freaking out, I haven't inquired jack shit!

I googled DTC - apparently, it's to see what addresses are used with your SSN. Supposedly, it doesn't affect your credit score.

PRM= This type of inquiry means that only your name and address were given to a credit grantor so they could offer you an
application for credit (PRM inquiries remain for six months.)

Sounds like nothing to sweat for either PRM or DTC.

It's probably standard practice for them to run credit. Most places do this now to see if you're going to pay your bills on time or not. Not necessarily to check your credit score.

Some places will ask for automatic payment to be setup before starting a service if they feel that your credit report shows you are not likely to make regular payments on time like a "responsible" person.
