Feelings? Comments? No flaming.
Personally, I feel he got what he deserves. I guess that he has changed (matter of opinion) but that doesn't bring back the people that he murdered. I'm all for capital punishment. Just because he wrote some childrens books doesn't mean that his crimes are ok and that all is forgiven.

i read an article on his pending execution last night. i am a softy for capital punishment but after reading the crimes he committed, i was more than for his death. he shot a gas station worker and then robbed a family hotel, killing the father, mother and daughter by shot gun. how much more gruesome can you get. and you know what he got for his robberies? He got away with a whole $220 bucks and four innocent that are dead. Thats horseshit and he didnt have to kill them

I personally think we should use capitol punishment more...maybe its the tax payer in me coming out. But hell...
Anyway, I think he got what he deserved. If he did truthfully change in prison then good for him. Seriously, good for his spirit to be washed or what not before he dies. But regardless he had to pay for his crimes.
There is also talks that he wasnt the author but was paid to use his name for the book to sell more copies. Also, rumored that he all while in prison still only hung out with other crip members and was their 'leader'. But again these are all rumors so take them for what they are worth.

Very very agreed... I think instead of wasting thousands of dollars on complex executions, they could save tax payer money by getting a .45 and a hollow point and just ending it like that. No complex injection shit that costs a fortune... IMO.

Not to mention the hundreds of thousands it cost to keep them alive for 15 years on death row (feeding, clothing, guarding, heat, electicity, ect)

here it goes...you may not agree.sorry.we as people don't have the RIGHT to choose if someone lives or dies, but it is understandable that if someone takes a life that they should die for it...but its GODS right to see that that happens.on the flip side of that if there is a decision to be made it should be the victims family or families to say yah or nah and to follow thru w/it.if someone was to kill one of my children as much as i don't think we have the right to kill anyone for any reason i would want to carry out the punishment..so as you see i have 2 feelings toward the issue.there are monsters out there and unfortunately there is a reason for it...what,i don't know, all i do know is in all of us there is an ugly person just some of us, thank GOD choose to keep that person locked away.i hope i haven't confused anyone.

Didn't feel like digging for a link but in a nut shell... a man was executed the other day for a series of murders committed almost 30 years ago. There were several last minute protests.

there were 4 murders in the late 80s and we kept him alive this long. Even better he was the founder of the crips. And he wrote childrens books while in the slammer and was nominated 3 times for the noble peace prize in jail. He was executed the other day after Arnold decided he needed to die.

he is definitely better off dead...they should have done it years ago.people like that are who we should have sent after the terrorist...give the full run in other countries like that.let them kill for us or be killed by our enemies.

tookie williams, i think that is his last name, anyway out in cali he killed a family and i think a gas station owner or something. he was part of the cripts and once in jail he became the leader of the cripts already in there, but the real kicker is while in there he wrote childrens books and i think they got awards or nominated for them. i dont know the whole story but thats is what i have heard.

If he killed my family, he wouldn't have had a chance to write those books, I have a .45 and hollow points and know how to use them

There are new studies proving that capital punishment (death penalty) is actually more expensive for the tax payer than the life sentence because of the number of appeals the convicted can go through before actually being executed (if he/she ever is executed - many convicts simply die of old age or violence in jail rather than execution while waiting out the appeals process). The average court cost of appeals on a death sentence ends up being more than food, clothing, etc. for life.

A major beef I have with the death penalty is that there are too many appeals. There should be one or two, of no more than one week each. If a judgement can't be made in the one week, original ruling stands.
There's a certain resolution for the victim's families when executing someone. You may or may not agree with me, but if someone were to hurt you or your family enough to warrant the death penalty, I wouldn't rest until I watched the bitch burn with my own eyes. Be it at the state's judgement or my own gas can and matchbook.
Then again, that could just be me.
