bought this beauty on ebay, its the header that i originally wanted but it was quite expensive, but got a crazy good deal on it. thanks to jarred for pointing me to this and not taking it for himself. its made by spa-turbo and its cast iron log-style with wastegate mount on top and turbo mount on the bottom.

a couple questions though for the turbo guru's. will a gt2871r bolt up to this and i have been told tial wastegates have the right bolt pattern but i would like to know what others may bolt up.

Oooo that's pretty. You gonna polish / flowmatch it?
arden
was not aware cast iron could be polished... thats definitely an idea if i can find somewhere to do it... at the moment i was just going to get it powdercoated... and yes it will be sent to JohnP when i send my head to be PnP'd to be matched to the new head exhaust port sizes
insta
Well the insides can be polished at least as much as the mounting face is.
CJW
nice dude. Id polish it but I wouldn't port it or anything. It would make it more prone to thermal shock if you thinned the walls.
arden
i dont plan on thinning walls too drastically, just going to match the entrance to the runners to the exits on the head when the head gets ported and polished. it would be a waste to have the head PnP'd just to have the exhaust mani restricting air before it even gets into the mani lol

i will probably stick to either polished the exterior or powdercoating it and thats that
inis
getting it coated will be the best thing to do, anything else I wouldn't bother with, polishing will still get carbon build up

probably going to go with a nice powdercoat :)

update on my turbo situation. turns out that i dont think the turbo is a T28. and it also turns out that it is just a small bit off from fitting the obx shorty header, so i think that option is out. now i am just waiting to find out if a gt28 will fit the new log manifold.

also DONT powdercoat it, you want jethot or hpcoatings.com to coat it, powdercoating is just a adhesive powder that is baked on that is harder then paint, a actaul thermo coating is ALOT different.
arden
then what kind of turbo is it? its huge! easily twice the size of the turbos i was pulling off the mitsubishi cars at the yard
arden
i totally missed your post josh lol. they are some nice bed sheets.

jarred- i went to the spaturbo link but its not in english.... i sent them an email through ebay about the manifold trying to find out what flange it is. i posted some pics on teamzx2 about it with measurements and someone over was pretty sure it is a T3, but there were also a person or two that thought it might be a T2 flange... this is so messed up lol
inis
my t25 is at pauls, go fit it
arden
ill have to do that sometime. just have not heard much from him so i try not bother him. plus i really have no time to go out there. by the time he gets home i have to be at work or at my night class 5 days of the week... so yeah i look forward to semester break lol. get some stuff done!

anyways, how is your stuff going jarred? i do have some spare time if you ever wanted to turn some wrenches on the ol banana
