No, but who knows.

Nope. There must have also been some head or cam work to get 308 hp.

to gain that much on 9psi, it must be high compression, extreme tuning, alot of headwork etc. I dont buy it... only way I can see it is high compression though and extreme tuning, even on a built motor, with low compression and head work I doubt a 4 banger can do it...
maybe he's not telling us he was spraying too lol

i call BS too. i sent a question to him asking what kind of work he has done to the motor

Stock Engine..... Very good tuning is required...

My message to him was something like:
The mazdaspeed doesn't even make 309 whp on 9psi, it does 276 CRANK on a higher boost. I believe your full of it.
his reply:
mazda speed's engine is not a high compression engine... You also need to look at compressor efficincy of the turbocharger... The turbocharger used in this kit is a lot better than that of the mazda speed...

Why are you always so hostile right off the bat? If his turbo really is ultra-efficent (they do exist) then he's right. Good tuning, high compression, and a high-efficency turbo will make those numbers on that much boost. However, I doubt the kit would be sold on eBay.

I call BS, for one, don't all those models have different bolt patterns on the head for the exhuast side? The manifold looks like some crappy tubular steel that probably won't hold the boost anyway.

9 psi is not much boost... how much HP do these things come stock with anyways? surely not more than 200 at the wheels

150 at the crank, and there NOT high enough compression stock to make 9psi turn 308 at the wheels

Tuning?
Tuning with a 50 or 75 shot!
Wonder what gas he was using. Probably 100+ octane.
What dyno? He's in Utah, so it's higher altitude, which usually is a disadvantage. If anyone asks another question, throw in the brand of dyno and what fuel please.

what he said back to me:
You have no Idea what you are talking about.. relize the motor is that of higher displacment... Hell I have stock honda engines (1.8 liter's) that are making well over 400 hp on stock motor's at 12 psi... You may believe what you would like.. If you are not interested in the kit than stop replying... Like I said before, its all in the tuning and in the effin. of the turbocharger... I am not going to argue with you.. This topic is obviously a little over your head... Relize that whom you are talking to has been in this industry a long time and has been in the honda market for a very long time... I would not post some bogus number... Second to that, relize that the numbers posted are at a higher elevition.. Therefore, the dynometer will tend to over correct on the SAE numbers for a boosted application.. This percentage is around 19 percent instead of the typical 12-16.. Therefore, if you wanted, you could have a baseline performed at see level and then at 4800 ft... The numbers would be a little different but not much... 10-15 hp... Thge bottom line is I am not selling the number's. I am selling the kit... The kit @ 25 psi.. Would be well into the mid to upper 400's.. (with a forged bottom end) Jasen

what an ass hat. no honda alive can boost 400hp on stock engine. it could not flow enough even if the rods didnt fly out and kill pedestrians. he has got to be running non-stock parts inside that engine
