to be honest i'm still newbish on how to do this....all i know is that i need something to cut the perches with...and i don't have any cutting tools....i also still need someone to help me remove the bolt on my rear ....can't remember the name, it's the long one in the back under the drum...i tweaked it, and it's stuck in there.

the bolt you'll have to take the car somewhere, trying to switch to disc?
as for cutting the perches, try a metal shop and give them details as to what your trying to do..shouldn't cost to much

as for the bolt...it was tweaked by me back in january...or so...my backend slid out and hit a sewer drain...ended up tweaking the bolt. so i can't get it out.....
as for the perches....just tell them basically to leave a one-inch lip on the perches, correct?

You're doomed trying to get that bolt out on your own. Just, flat out doomed.

i'm going to try midas....that's where my gf's uncle works, he's looked at it before, and seems sure that he'll be able to get it out, just will take a little time especially since i tweaked the bolt.

I've gotten the bolts out no problem the 3 times I've had struts out of the zx2...
Well, by no problem I mean I swore at it, kicked it, hammered it, and finally they let loose.
Thread the nut back onto the end and hammer the nut. Don't go crazy or anything. Then again, looking back I have a pneumatic hammer...and really should have used it. :-X

It took us 40 minutes with an oxy-acetelyne torch and a big sledgehammer to loosen the bolt on the last one I did (forgot where that one went). Mardini's, we had to take to CarX and they took about an hour with an oxy torch and OMGHEUG impact.

Yea I guess I forgot to mention I use an impact on the bolt to break it free from the rust holding it in place...
But I should have used my air hammer...wouldve been much easier

Well is this thread about struts and installation or about the lower spindle bolt
And not all 3 times I was reffering to were on my car. I have quite a few zx2 guys in my area.

install sucked...lol, i tried using a sawzall to cut them...after an hour or more on one strut, i gave up and just put them on, almost halfway lowered. i have problems with the front, the thrust bearing, the instructions call for just the plastic piece, but the one that came off my old front struts are metal....so i am confused on what to do, i went ahead and just put the struts on with out the bearing, but wanna figure it all out soon so i can stop the popping sound from when i turn my wheels

what coil overs did you get? on mine (ground controls) the stock bushing for the front wheels sit in the upper hat of the coil overs, then bolt straight on, dont use the factory hats. on the inside of that "metal" bushing, its plastic.
